King, Santana, The Beach Boys, Barbra Streisand, Gladys Knight, Alice Cooper, Pure Prairie League, Chicago, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Brad Paisley, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, The Go-Go’s, Madonna, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Toto, Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Ricky Martin, Keith Urban, Usher, Dido, Jewel, Jason Aldean, and Mary J. In recent years, Spirit has achieved significant growth through a series of strategic acquisitions and initiatives. In August 2015, Spirit expanded globally by partnering with B-Unique (home of James Bay and John Newman) and opening a London office, attracting prominent UK writers like Johnny McDaid and Johnny Coffer (Ed Sheeran, John Newman, Rag’n’Bone Man, Robbie Williams). January 2016 saw further expansion through a deal with Nashville hit-maker Frank Rogers, adding another 40 #1 hits and establishing its Spirit Fluid division. In April 2016, Spirit launched Spirit Music Latino in partnership with Sunflower Entertainment Group. By March 2017, the company entered the production music arena, forming Spirit Production Music and the custom music division Spirit Music Collective through a partnership with Alan Ett’s Opus 1 Music Library, The Music Collective, and Audio Horizon, absorbing 150,000 high-quality production music tracks and over 40 unique music libraries.
Spirit has earned a strong reputation as an aggressive royalty administrator and a premier promoter of its songs across film, television, advertising, and various new media. The company has evolved its role beyond traditional royalty collection and song promotion, proactively creating and executing marketing plans to revitalize its clients’ songs and expand their brands.
